I think it would be very distracting for the students to take this “new woman” seriously. 

New York Daily News reports Marla Kralikowski's wrongful termination lawsuit against St. Francis Preparatory School was given the green light by a Queens judge. She claims she was fired for her sexual orientation after 32 years of teaching, but the school claims it was due to her 'insubordination.'    

 

It was a bait and gender-switch.

At a court hearing earlier this week, Judge Duane Hart said he was skeptical of the St. Francis Preparatory School's claim that Marla Kralikowski's was fired for insubordination - and not because she used to be known as Mark.

Pornography being used for teens' sex education

This is an issue that’s never discussed in the public square as to the damage pornography does to how children view sex. 

 Stuff Con reports pornography has become the most common form of "sex education" for teenagers - to the point where it is now dictating the way they behave in relationships, new research has found. 

Acceptance of violence and extreme sex acts are also on the rise among youth, as more aggression seeps into the increasingly competitive porn market.

Figures from the research, based on academic papers and interviews with young people in Australia, showed that by age 16, 90 per cent of boys and 60 per cent of girls interviewed had encountered porn. 

A content analysis showed nearly 90 per cent of scenes included acts of physical aggression - such as hitting, choking or gagging - and that in 94 per cent of cases, the aggression was directed towards women who were often shown enjoying it. 

"The young people we spoke to continually described the way porn's signature sex acts are finding their way into their own sexual activity," said researcher Maree Crabbe.

"The young women mentioned again and again about feeling pressure from their partners . . . and feeling used and dirty and degraded." 

A documentary based on the research, which experts say would probably be mirrored if a similar study was done in New Zealand, will be screened this week as part of an $800,000 government-funded project into porn by Auckland University. Called Love and Sex in an age of Pornography, it features interviews with more than 70 young people, as well as actors, agents and directors in the porn industry, talking about the increasing aggression in sex movies and the effect it has on our view of "normal" sexual behavior.

New York Post  reports the advocacy group for the adult film industry announced on Friday a moratorium on filming — the second in the last month — after a third performer tested positive for HIV.

The Free Speech Coalition’s action came more than two weeks after it called for a work ban when a woman, who worked under the name Cameron Bay, received a positive test.

Southern Baptists: No Gay Weddings For Military Chaplains

Good, I totally support this decision. 

The Huffington Post reports the agency that commissions Southern Baptist military chaplains says no Baptist chaplain will be allowed to perform, attend or support a same-sex wedding either on or off base.

The Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board released guidelines on Aug. 29 stating that endorsed chaplains will not “offer any kind of relationship training or retreat, on or off of a military installation, that would give the appearance of accepting the homosexual lifestyle or sexual wrongdoing.”

The updated guidelines were issued in response to the military’s repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy and the Supreme Court’s decision this summer to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act.

“A lot of our chaplains were asking for clarification,” said Mike Ebert, spokesman for the NAMB, which is based outside Atlanta. “We wanted to clearly articulate in writing for the Department of Defense that these are our expectations.”

Little Rock school district will now make teachers wear underwear

There must’ve been rampant underwear-less teaching going on.  Then again this is Bill Clinton’s home state. 

Daily Callerreports the school district in Little Rock, Ark. has announced plans for a dress code that will require teachers to wear underwear. Every single day. Female teachers will have to wear bras, too.

An Aug. 29 letter from the Little Rock School District’s Office of the Superintendent to all employees explains that the dress code will officially go into effect in the fall of 2014.

“Foundational garments shall be worn and not visible with respect to color, style, and/or fabric,” the letter reads. “No see-through or sheer clothing shall be allowed, and no skin shall be visible between pants/trousers, skirts, and shirts/blouses at any time.”

T-shirts, patches and other clothing containing slogans for beer, alcohol, drugs, gangs or sex will also be prohibited. Other verboten garments will include cut-off jeans with ragged edges, cut-out dresses and spaghetti-straps if teachers aren’t wearing at least two layers.

Flip-flops will be banned. “Tattoos must be covered if at all possible.” No jogging suits, either (though gym and dance teachers do get a pass on this one).

And the very worst of all: No spandex.

Organized labor vocally opposes the new universal underwear requirement and the rest of the non-draconian dress code.
