Baltimore City Officials Propose Stricter Curfew For Teens

Teens are running wild all over the country, not just Baltimore!

CBS Baltimore reports kids in Baltimore City may soon need to be home earlier at night. A new proposal is on the table for a stricter curfew in the city.

Meghan McCorkell has the details.

The current curfew for children in the city of Baltimore is midnight on weekends and 11 p.m. on weekdays. Now Councilman Brandon Scott has proposed legislation to make it earlier.

Young people tore into a Seven-11 in upper Fells Point around midnight in February. Now city leaders are trying to stop teens involved in incidents like that.

“We don’t want kids to harm anyone [or] to be harmed themselves,” said Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

As the moon rises, Councilman Brandon Scott says he wants to see fewer children out on the streets.

What a guy.  Father of the Year he is not!

New York Post reports he won’t lift a finger to help cops nail the low-life who gunned down his baby boy, but the father who was the likely target of the shooting doesn’t mind profiting from his son’s murder.

A man claiming to be Anthony Hennis, tragic Antiq Hennis’ gangbanger dad, called The Post yesterday trying to solicit blood money to tell his side of the story.

“It doesn’t have to be like you’re paying me to talk,” said the man, who insisted he was fielding offers from other media outlets, including one he said came from the Daily News for $15,000.

“You could be donating to help my family,” the caller said. “I just got to take care of my family, the ones I do have left.”

When asked how his family is holding up, the man said, “They’re not doing good at all. They don’t feel safe.”

The caller left a number and cut the call short, saying he believed he was “being recorded.” Before he hung up, he said he was staying with his grandmother and could be reached there.

Prayer helps subdue deranged Black rapist Charlie “Chris” Bates on a 4 woman spree in Tampa

The power of prayer is real!

The Blaze reports police say Charlie “Chris” Bates had just finished raping four women at gunpoint after tying up the four men who were with them in a Tampa, Fla. apartment.

Bates then found what he thought was his next victim, a woman sitting on her porch at another apartment complex.

Police say Bates forced the woman inside her unit, made her undress and kiss him, and was about to rape her, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Then she did something amazingly bold and faithful: She began praying.

And she recited John 3:16 from the Bible, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

“For God so loved the world …”

Police say Bates’ whole demeanor transformed.

He apologized to the woman, gave her a shirt, and they prayed together.

She tried to hand him her Bible, but when Bates wouldn’t take it, she ripped pages out and gave them to him, the Times says.

After he left, she called 911.

The prayers probably saved the woman’s life, police said.

Twelve hours later on Friday Bates, 24, was fatally wounded by police after a high-speed chase in which authorities exchanged at least 100 bullets with him. Bates is also suspected of shooting at another man, stealing a friend’s car, and threatening a large group of partygoers during his 14-hour rampage, authorities told the Tribune.

SWAT TEAM KILLS 107-YEAR OLD Pine Bluff Man IN SHOOTOUT

This man may have been 107 years old, but didn’t mean was an invalid.  Obviously the guy had plenty of spunk like Tony Montana. 

THY 11 reports an 107-year old Pine Bluff man died Saturday after a shootout with officers and S.W.A.T. members. The Pine Bluff Police Dept. released the following information about the incident on Saturday evening. 

"On September 7, 2013, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a disturbance at 1411 W. 16th.

When they arrived, they were able to determine that an Aggravated Assault had occurred against two people at the residence. The suspect, Monroe Isadore (M, 107 years old), had pointed a weapon at them. The officers had the two victims leave the residence, for their safety, and approached the door to the bedroom where Isadore was supposed to be. 

When officers announced themselves, Isadore shot through the door at them. No officer was hit or injured by the gunfire. The officers retreated to a safer area and supervisors and additional help were called. Supervisors began negotiating with Isadore as soon as they arrived. S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons and Tactics) was also called out.

Negotiations continued for some time and when S.W.A.T arrived, negotiations still continued. S.W.A.T. was able to insert a camera into the room, where Isadore was, and confirmed he was armed with a handgun. S.W.A.T. inserted gas into the room, after it was evident negotiations were unsuccessful, in hopes Isadore would surrender peacefully. 

When the gas was inserted into the room, Isadore fired rounds at the S.W.A.T. officers that had inserted the gas from outside a bedroom window.

Shortly afterwards, a S.W.A.T. entry team, inside the residence, breached the door to the bedroom and threw a distraction device into the bedroom. Isadore then began to fire on the entry team and the entry team engaged Isadore, killing him.

The investigation is still ongoing."

Longmont shooting victim's father details 'prank that went fatal' killing daughter Premila Lal

I really feel horrible for this Dad!

Times Call reports what started as a prank on Friday night has left a Longmont family reeling from the death of a bright 18-year-old woman and the jailing of a close family friend.

"It was a prank that went bad," said Praveen Lal, whose daughter Premila died at Longmont United Hospital on Friday night after she was shot at a family home at 2531 Cambridge Drive. "It is a kids' prank that went fatal."

Police believe Nerrek Galley, a family friend, shot Premila because he believed an intruder was in the home. He was arrested on suspicion of providing a firearm to a juvenile, child abuse and reckless endangerment, but has not been arrested on suspicion of any charges directly related to the shooting.
