Times Free Press Editor Drew Johnson got fired for telling Obama to “Shove it!”

As previously reported on The Last Tradition an editor for the Times Free Presswrote this headline: “Take your jobs plan and shove it, Mr. President: Your policies have harmed Chattanooga enough.”

Well, like Fredo said to his brother Michael in The Godfather, “You can’t talk to Moe Green like that!”  Although the Free Press denies it, Drew Johnson is out of a job for criticizing the mastermind of so much unemployment. 

Oh the irony!

Times Free Press Editor Drew Johnson has been terminated after placing a headline on an editorial outside of normal editing procedures according to the Times Free Press.

Johnson’s headline, “Take your jobs plan and shove it, Mr. President: Your policies have harmed Chattanooga enough,” appeared on the Free Press page Tuesday, the day President Barack Obama visited the city.

The headline was inappropriate for this newspaper. It was not the original headline approved for publication, and Johnson violated the normal editing process when he changed the headline. The newspaper’s decision to terminate Johnson had nothing to do with the content of the editorial, which criticized the president’s job creation ideas and Chattanooga’s Smart

Oklahoma Mother Shana Suggs faces life in jail after treating her 5 yr old daughter's head lice with gasoline as she stood by a heater-Woosh-Caught Fire

This Mom wasn’t too bright as she lit up her daughter like a human torch!

A 25-year-old mother faces a life sentence for injuring her five-year-old daughter by treating her head lice with gasoline, which caught fire according to The Daily Mail.

Shana Suggs, 25, is charged with child abuse by injury and will face trial for the injury in January.

Prosecutors recently filed the charge in Pittsburg County District Court.

Court records say Ms Suggs could face a life sentence if she is convicted. 

The child suffered from second and third-

degree burns on 60 per cent of her body.

It is alleged that she and her mother were set alight when they stood near a space heater.

The child is living with relatives in Oklahoma following treatments at a Tulsa burn centre and a Texas Shriner's hospital.

Smithsonian seeks to aquire Trayvon Martin’s hoodie to give aid and comfort to the Civil Rights Industrial complex

One of the Left’s favorite tactics is to create media myths to indoctrinate people.  Often the subjects of these myths live very dubious lives.  But, once the myth-making machinery is fully operational, a drunkard and womanizer like Sen. Ted Kennedy and a former KKK honcho like Sen. Robert Byrd become marble statues of Liberalism. 

Trayvon Martin, a troubled kid who was suspended twice from his high school in a six month period is the latest media myth in progress. 

A director at the Smithsonian Institution wants to stock a new addition to the national museum complex with a controversial piece of recent US history — Trayvon Martin’s hoodie according to The New York Post. 

Lonnie Bunch said that once the legal case plays out, he’d love to have the gray hooded sweat shirt the unarmed 17-year-old was wearing the night he was fatally shot by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla.

Martin’s hoodie would provide an opportunity to further the discussion about race in America, Bunch said. 

“It became the symbolic way to talk [about] the Trayvon Martin case. It’s rare that you get one artifact that really becomes the symbol,” Bunch said.

“Because it’s such a symbol, it would allow you to talk about race in the age of Obama.”

Bunch, director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, now under construction in Washington, DC, has assembled other controversial pieces about race relations throughout US history. 

One example is a guard tower from Louisiana’s notorious Angola State Penitentiary.

Another is the handcuffs used to restrain Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. in an episode that sparked a national debate about race and led to a “beer summit” with President Obama aimed at easing tensions.

New NSA Reveal: XKeyscore: NSA tool collects 'nearly everything a user does on the internet'

The Guardian reports a top secret National Security Agency program allows analysts to search with no prior authorization through vast databases containing emails, online chats and the browsing histories of millions of individuals, according to documents provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden.
The NSA boasts in training materials that the program, called XKeyscore, is its "widest-reaching" system for developing intelligence from the internet.

The latest revelations will add to the intense public and congressional debate around the extent of NSA surveillance programs. They come as senior intelligence officials testify to the Senate judiciary committee on Wednesday, releasing classified documents in response to the Guardian's earlier stories on bulk collection of phone records and Fisa surveillance court oversight. 

The files shed light on one of Snowden's most controversial statements, made in his first video interview published by the Guardian on June 10.

"I, sitting at my desk," said Snowden, could "wiretap anyone, from you or your accountant, to a federal judge or even the president, if I had a personal email".
US officials vehemently denied this specific claim. Mike Rogers, the Republican chairman of the House intelligence committee, said of Snowden's assertion: "He's lying. It's impossible for him to do what he was saying he could do."

But training materials for XKeyscore detail how analysts can use it and other systems to mine enormous agency databases by filling in a simple on-screen form giving only a broad justification for the search. The request is not reviewed by a court or any NSA personnel before it is processed.

XKeyscore, the documents boast, is the NSA's "widest reaching" system developing intelligence from computer networks – what the agency calls Digital Network Intelligence (DNI). One presentation claims the program covers "nearly everything a typical user does on the internet", including the content of emails, websites visited and searches, as well as their metadata.

Analysts can also use XKeyscore and other NSA systems to obtain ongoing "real-time" interception of an individual's internet activity.

Under US law, the NSA is required to obtain an individualized Fisa warrant only if the target of their surveillance is a 'US person', though no such warrant is required for intercepting the communications of Americans with foreign targets. But XKeyscore provides the technological capability, if not the legal authority, to target even US persons for extensive electronic surveillance without a warrant provided that some identifying information, such as their email or IP address, is known to the analyst.
