This story will make these nasty neighbors the most unpopular neighbors in the country. I think they’ve earned it once this news spreads across the country!
Daily Mailreports a Colorado family caring for a disabled teenage daughter have found themselves locked in a battle with their neighbors, who are threatening a lawsuit over a recently installed wheelchair ramp.VincentGiesegh, an Army veteran, and his wife, Heidi, had the ramp built outside their Fountain, Colorado, home, to make it easier for theirwheelchair-bound 16-year-old daughter, Kirsten, who suffers from cerebral palsy, to go outside. But the addition to the house has angered the family's next-door neighbors, who are concerned that the ramp will lower property values in the area.‘We're trying to do our best to assist our daughter with her daily needs to get in and out of the house,’ Mr Giesegh told the station KKTV.According to Heidi Giesegh, not having the ramp could place her and her husband at risk.‘As she goes into her spastic modes, we could just tumble down the stairs and both of us could get massively hurt,’ said Mrs Giesegh.According to Vincent Giesegh's LinkedIn profile, the father of three is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.Since returning home, Giesegh has been interning with the U.S. Forest Service while working for a company that provides emergency equipment to first responders. The family have sought the help of Denver-based civil rights lawyer Amy Robertson, who said that the Gieseghs are protected under the Fair Housing Act.
