Oprah confirms the Swiss store clerk was right all long $38,000 bag too expensive for her taste

By now you’ve probably heard about how Oprah suffered a racial injustice when a Swiss store clerk refused to show her a particular handbag because the clerk thought it was too expensive for Oprah to buy. 

So the Swiss tourism board has been falling all over themselves apologizing, the store owner has made several public apologies to Winfrey as the story became an international incident.

So I read this New York Daily News piece and buried in the last paragraph is a tweet from Oprah:

On Friday, Winfrey tweeted she probably wouldn’t have bought the bag anyway:

“Turns out that store clerk did me a favor. Just found out that bag was $38K!!! She was right I was NOT going to buy."

So much for racism!
